Disco Dance Lessons From VinylCheese

The Slide

This step is what you need to do to show everyone that you own the dance floor. Don't be concerned about how much space it takes up, they'll move.

 

  1. Start.
  2. Basic straight body position...
  3. Bending left knee, quickly slide right leg out as shown. Right arm will swing out naturally...
  4. And quickly slide right arm and leg in...
  5. Bending right knee, quickly slide left leg out. left arm will swing out naturally...
  6. And quickly slide left arm and leg in...
  7. now try same movement as in step 3. Quickly slide right arm and leg out and back in again...
  8. And the same thing on the other side. Quickly slide right arm and leg out and back in again...
  9. Continue slide step left and right until you feel comfortable with the movement.
  10. Repeat until they declare one night of each week in your honor.
